* Lexington Area Solid Waste is hosting a household hazardous waste collection from 8 until 9:30 a.m. at the KBR Solid Waste Transfer Station east of Ainsworth. Items accepted include yard and garden chemicals, pesticides, herbicides, flammables, paints and thinners, used oil, antifreeze and cleaning chemicals, as well as batteries, computer monitors and florescent light bulbs.
