* A Nebraska Hereford Association ranch tour is being held from 3:45 until 5 p.m. at the Rod and Brett Gierau Ranch 12 miles north of Springview, then 1 mile west, 1 mile north and one-half mile west. The public is invited to take the tour.

* A benefit meal, auction and music for Julie Nachtman and family will be held from 5 until 9 p.m. at the parking lot behind Kaup's Insurance at Stuart. Proceeds from the event will assist the family with Shane Nachtman's medical expenses.

* Brewster Volunteer Fire Department annual barbecue and fund-raiser auction, 6 p.m. in the Brewster Community Center. The auction begins at 7:30 p.m.
