* Food Bank for the Heartland mobile food pantry, 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Courthouse Park. The pantry provides one-day food assistance for those in need.

* 129th annual Sparks Old Settlers Reunion, 9 a.m. at Sparks. A full day of activities is planned.

* Silver Circle three-person scramble tournament, 10 a.m. at the Ainsworth Golf Course.

* Borderline Tractor Pullers Association benefit tractor pull, 10 a.m. at Stuart Park. A freewill donation lunch will be served at 11 a.m. Proceeds from the event go to Cory Mitchell to help defray medical expenses.

* The Sandhills Piecemakers Quilt Guild hosts Pat Knoechel from 2:30 until 4:30 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Valentine. Knoechel will demonstrate techniques from her book "Quilts From El's Attic."

* Stuart Stock Car benefit races, 4 p.m. at Stuart Park, with a fireworks show at 9 p.m. Proceeds from the event will assist Cory Mitchell with medical expenses.
