* Funeral service for James. R. Walton, 84, of Ainsworth, Feb. 4, in the Ainsworth United Methodist Church with burial in the Grandview Cemetery near Long Pine. Jim Walton died Feb. 1 in the Brown County Hospital. Survivors include his wife Ginger Walton of Ainsworth; children Pam Luna and husband Roman of Des Moines, Iowa, and Lori Cason of Des Moines; son-in-law Paul Chapman Jr. of Des Moines; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; step-children Allan Jones of Yankton, S.D., and Angela Teten and husband Mark of Talmage; seven step-grandchildren and one step-great-granddaughter; sisters Judy Cole of Ainsworth and Shirley Crone of Ainsworth; and nieces, nephews and other family members.

* Funeral service for Wayne L. Iverson, 89, of Bassett, Feb. 1, in the Bassett United Methodist Church with burial in the Bassett Memorial Park Cemetery with military rites provided by the Bassett American Legion Post 123. Wayne Iverson died Jan. 28 in the Rock County Long Term Care at Bassett. Survivors include children Linda Hutton and husband Mike of Sioux City, Iowa, Terri Jo Hansen and husband Scott of Rice, Minn., Scot Iverson and wife Julie of Bassett, and Tina Schearer and husband Mike of Blue Springs, Mo.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister Lois Zlomke of Omaha; brother Keith "Bud" Iverson of Phoenix, Ariz.; and nieces, nephews and other family members.

* Funeral service for Timothy Clifton Peterson, 58, of Stuart, Jan. 27, in the Atkinson Community Center with burial in the Woodlawn Cemetery near Atkinson. Timothy Peterson died Jan. 22 in his home. Survivors include his wife Linda Peterson of Stuart; sons Willie Peterson and Tish Gardner of Stuart, and Kirk Peterson of Stuart; two grandchildren; sister Mary Bye of Minnesota; and brothers Charley Peterson of Atkinson, and Jerry Peterson and wife Annie of Harrisburg, S.D.

* Funeral service for Maj. Troy Donn Wayman, 44, of Nolanville, Texas, a 1989 graduate of Ainsworth High School, Jan. 27, in the Harker Heights Trinity Baptist Church with burial in the Central Texas Veterans Cemetery near Killeen, Texas. Troy Wayman died Jan. 16. Survivors include his wife Ruby Wayman of Nolanville; step-parents Charles and Teresa Percival of Ainsworth; step-siblings Tami Cook and husband Jerry of Texas, Mike Percival of Lincoln, and Jennifer Fiesterman and husband Troy of Winner, S.D.; and several aunts, uncles and other family members.

* Funeral service for Warren Horner, 57, of Rose., Jan. 23, in the Bassett United Methodist Chruch with burial in the Duff Cemetery near Rose. Warren Horner died Jan. 17 in his home near Rose. Survivors include sisters Velda Klooz and husband Jim of Purdum, Carolyn Clark and husband Stan of Long Pine, Teresa Brauser and husband Larry of Fort Collins, Colo., Joyce Grinder and husband Dr. Brian of Cheney, Wash., Mary Boehm and husband Tom of Elbing, Kan., Rachel Busenitz and husband Gordon of Newton, Kan., and Genia Entz and husband James of Benton, Kan.; and nieces, nephews and other family members.

* Funeral service for Jim Lutter, 83, of Valentine, Jan. 22, in the Valentine St. Nicholas Catholic Church with burial at a later date. Jim Lutter died Jan. 18 in the Cherry County Hospital at Valentine. Survivors include his wife Margaret Lutter of Valentine; sons William Lutter of Elizabeth, Colo., and Richard Lutter of Bennington; and daughters Patricia Dawson of Idaho, Theresa Gothard of Hope, N.M., Priscilla Baalhorn of Casper, Wyo., and Mary Mercure of Valentine.

* Funeral service for Vera Adkinson, 97, of Gregory, S.D., formerly of Mills, Jan. 20, in the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Gregory with burial in the Olive Branch Cemetery near Mills. Vera Adkinson died Jan. 14 in the Avera Rosebud County Care Center at Gregory.

* Funeral service for Sharon Prewitt, 80, of Atkinson, Jan. 20, in the First Presbyterian Church of Atkinson with burial in the Woodlawn Cemetery. Sharon Prewitt died Jan. 15. Survivors include children Lori Krysl and husband Mike of Atkinson, Jerry Prewitt and wife Natalie of Atkinson, and Tracy Rupp and husband Dave of North Platte; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

* A memorial service for Donald R. Caudill, 64, of Ainsworth, Jan. 16, in the Ainsworth Evangelical Free Church with inurnment at a later date in the Buxton Cemetery at Buxton, Ore. Donald Caudill died Jan. 4 in the Ron and Carol Cope Heart Center at Kearney. Survivors include his wife Carol Caudill of Ainsworth; son Shawn Caudill of Forest Grove, Ore.; four grandchildren; mother Geraldine Caudill of Helena, Mont.; brothers Gary Caudill of Anchorage, Alaska; Bucky Caudill and special friend Julia of Tanasbourne, Ore., and Ray Caudill and wife Robin of Unalakleet, Alaska; sister Glenna Cooley of Helena, Mont.; brothers-in-law David Lehn and wife Treva of Kearney, and Junior Lehn of Forest Grove, Ore.; and nieces, nephews and other family members.

* A memorial service for Melva L. Fletcher, 88, of Bassett, Jan. 14, in the Bassett United Methodist Church with inurnment in the Bassett Memorial Park Cemetery. Melva Fletcher died Jan. 11 in the Rock County Long Term Care at Bassett. Survivors include children Lana Pfeifer and husband Don of Bassett, Kent Fletcher and wife Jody of Shelton, and Monte Fletcher and wife Mary of Spencer; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; brother Kim Cords and wife Jackie of Ravenna; brother-in-law Donald Fletcher and wife Geri of Gibbon; and nieces, nephews and other family members.

* Funeral service for Hobart Lee “Toby” Watts, 80, of Omaha formerly of Ainsworth, Jan. 14, in the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel of Fremont with a graveside service at 10:30 a.m. Jan. 30 at the Ainsworth South Cemetery. Toby Watts died Jan. 6 in the Saunders Medical Center at Wahoo. Survivors include children Gerald Watts and wife Diane of Ainsworth, Sherry Mason and husband Fred of Cedar Bluffs, Hobart Watts and wife Lolita of Kearney, and Mildred Donner and husband Dallas of Cozad; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; siblings Dudley Watts of Lake Placid, Fla., Jerry Watts of Wahoo, Jeanette Neal and husband Jim of Las Vegas, Nev., and Helen Lewis of Maryland; and nieces and nephews.

* A memorial service for Edith A. Chase, 91, of Ainsworth, will be held at a later date. Edith Chase died Jan. 5 in the Good Samaritan Society at Bloomfield. Hoch Funeral Home of Ainsworth is in charge of arrangements.

* A memorial service will be held at a later date for Mary E. Kent, 92, of Ainsworth. Mary Kent died recently in her home. Survivors include niece Marilyn Byrne and husband Bill of Bryan, Texas; and special friends David "Rocky" and Cheryl Johnson of Edgewood, N.M., and Wes and Shari Luther of Ainsworth. Hoch Funeral Home of Ainsworth is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral service for Kay Bennett, 86, of Valentine, Jan. 6, in the St. Nicholas Catholic Church of Valentine with burial in the Mount Hope Cemetery near Valentine. Kay Bennett died Jan. 1 near York. Survivors include children Stephanie Buechle-Calabrese of Antioch, Ill., Ginny Terry of North Augusta, S.C., and John Bennett of York; and brother Cecil Crowe of Pueblo, Colo.

Funeral service for James A. "Jim" Omer, 59, of Norfolk, Jan. 6, in the Stonacek Funeral Chapel of Norfolk with burial in the Fullerton Cemetery with military rites provided by the Fred Philbrick American Legion Post 151 of Fullerton. Jim Omer died Jan. 1 in the Countryside Home at Madison.

* A memorial service for Shirley Mae Davis, 79, of Ainsworth, Jan. 4, in the Ainsworth Congregational United Church of Christ with inurnment in the East Park Cemetery. Shirley Davis died Dec. 29 in the Brown County Hospital. Survivors include daughters Rhonda See and husband Bill of Ainsworth, and Nadine Little and husband Rick of Omaha; four grandsons; one great-granddaughter; sister Ruby Penhero of Pomona, Calif.; brother-in-law Harold Amick of Chesterfield, Ind.; and nieces, nephews and other family members.

* A graveside service for Ruth Elaine Fox, 81, of Bassett, Jan. 2, at the Bassett Memorial Park Cemetery. Ruth Fox died Dec. 29 in the Rock County Hospital at Bassett. Survivors include sons Tim Fox of Bassett, and Tony Fox and wife Corky of Bassett; daughters Donna Billings and husband Dave of Valentine, and Brenda Magary and husband Roger of Ainsworth; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and other family members.
