* Funeral service for Elaine Schorn, 85, of Stuart, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, in the Stuart Community Church with burial in the St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery. Elaine Schorn died May 10 in the West Holt Memorial Hospital at Atkinson. Visitation is scheduled from 9 a.m. Tuesday until the time of service in the Stuart Community Church. Survivors include children Margaret Olberding of Stuart, Tim Schorn and wife Ilmira of Vermillion, S.D., and Erin Kitt and husband Scott of Malcolm; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

* A memorial service for Myrtle B. Sears, 96, of Ainsworth, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 28, in Hoch Funeral Home of Ainsworth with inurnment in the Ainsworth Cemetery. Myrtle Sears died Aug. 24, 20165, in the Brown County Hospital. There will be no visitation. Arthur Frasch died Friday, May 20, in the Butte Healthcare Center. Visitation is scheduled from 4 until 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Immanuel Lutheran Church.

* A graveside memorial service with military rites for Gilbert D. Hanna, 90, of Johnstown, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, May 23, at the Fort McPherson National Cemetery near Maxwell. Gil Hanna died May 2 in his home. * Word has been received of the death of Frank Larsen, 69, of Valentine. Frank Larsen died April 6 in the Pine View Good Samaritan Center. No service will be held. Burial will be held at a later date in the Mount Hope Cemetery near Valentine. Survivors include daughters Shelley Pier of Valentine, and Christy Bible of Sacramento, Calif.; and sister Judy Fueston of Papillion.

* Word has been received of the death of Dr. Alfred Dean Gilg, 85, of Long Pine. Dean "Doc" Gilg died April 4 in the CHI Health Good Samaritan Hospital at Kearney. Cremation has taken place and, at Doc's request, no formal service will be held. Survivors include sons Doug Gilg and wife Betty of Powell, Ohio, Dan Gilg of Phoenix, Ariz., and Greg Gilg and wife Julie of Gothenburg; grandchildren and other family members.

Jesse Pankowski died April 1 in his aunt’s home at Johnson Lake.
